Inviting team members

Invite teammates to your workspace so you can work together. Only the workspace owner can invite, remove, or change the role of team members — if you don't see Team in the sidebar, ask your workspace owner.

Sending an invitation

  1. Click Team in the sidebar under the Admin section
  2. Click Invite Member
  3. Enter the person's email address
  4. Choose a role — Viewer or Editor (see Understanding roles and permissions)
  5. Optionally add a personal message
  6. Click Send Invitation

The person receives an email with a link to join your workspace. Invitations expire after 7 days.

Bulk invitations

Need to invite several people at once?

  1. From the team page, click Bulk Invite
  2. Enter multiple email addresses
  3. Select a role for all invitees, and optionally add a message
  4. Send

Everyone receives the same invitation email. If the batch would exceed your remaining seats, only as many invitations as you have capacity for are sent.

Managing pending invitations

The team page shows two lists:

  • Active members — people who have accepted their invitation and joined the workspace
  • Pending invitations — invitations that haven't been accepted yet

For pending invitations, you can:

  • Resend — send the invitation email again and reset its 7-day expiry. Each invitation can be sent at most five times in total (the original email plus resends).
  • Revoke — cancel the invitation so the link no longer works

What happens when someone accepts

When an invitee clicks the link in their email:

  1. If they already have an MCP Gateway account, the workspace is added to their account
  2. If they're new to MCP Gateway, they create an account first and then join the workspace
  3. They appear in the active members list with the role you assigned

Team size limits

Your plan's team member limit caps how many people can be in the workspace, and pending invitations count toward it — each one reserves a seat. If you've reached the limit, revoke unused invitations, remove members, or upgrade your plan.
